welcoming 2014

Hey guys! Time to say goodbye to 2013. This year was amazing, filled with many trips, awesome memories, some ups and downs, meeting new people, talking to strangers, getting lost in cities ... all in all, it was a fu**ing great year! :D 

Wish you all a happy new year! 

Let's make 2014 the year, where 

we step out of our comfort zones, 

travel to places we haven't been before,

meet new people, 

make changes and decisions about things we don't like, 

take opportunities and chances, 

love and embrace each other,   

follow our dreams

and BELIEVE IN OURSELVES! 

'cause 365 days will quickly pass by.

Therefore, move our asses and make year 2014 a good one!

Nyhavn, København part II

Nyhavn (new harbour). I guess that's what we're thinking of when someone says Copenhagen or at least we're having the picture of Nyhavn in our heads, colourful façades of townhouses and little cafes. 

The north side is more lively due to all the restaurants and bars. The best feeling: sitting in of these cafes with your bosom friend, drinking mulled wine, covered in a blanket, chatting away while watching people passing you by. 

I live for this kind of moments because you never know how long they're gonna last.

Merry Christmas Everyone

When it comes to christmas I love everything about it: christmas tree, snow, mulled wine, cookies, ...  And there is one song that brings up a smile on my face and I'm immediately in a christmas mood: Shakin' Stevens singing his merry christmas everyone!

 

I wish you all merry christmas filled with love and joy spent in good company and with people you love and cherish.

København part I

... and the second trip took place. It was about time for a wee northern exposure, namely København or simply Copenhagen. Flying over Øresund Bridge, which is a bridge-tunnel between Copenhagen and Malmö, Scania, Sweden.

Hamburg, part II

St. Michaelis or simple der Michel (both German versions)is the biggest church in Hamburg. From the spire you get a breathtaking view over the city and the harbour. You can either use the lift or do it my way and take the stairs. Don't underestimate around 450 stairs ... it's quite exhausting nevertheless the view is worth every step.

Hamburg, part I

Oh dear, oh my. The accent, the people, the city, the food, Hamburg. How to describe this city? Well, let's put it this way: you take all everything you love and discovered while travelling (a particular street, quarter, language, building ...) and put them into a box. You mix/shake it and voilà you've got Hamburg. At its finest.
